As Mike noted, some releases sounded better produced than others. Planning to listen to some of those old records, including solo piano, soon to see if biases formed over 30 years ago are still valid.

I have quite a few of the Tapscott albums from that series. I’ll have to relisten but remember them sounding good. Pretty cool music on them

The music contained overrides the recording process more often than not.

Full disclosure, i’m about 1200 in, about the same in cd’s.

Perhaps. But if you watch enough of his videos, you might not have auto-skeptic response. He also makes some amazing, premier equipment, and I’m not sure there are any other equipment manufacturers with an in-house recording studio and label. He knows his shit and is exceptionally humble and doesn’t cut corners on quality in any of it.

I've seen some videos. I didn't say anything about the quality of his products.

About the same number of units here as well (a little shy from 1800), counting singles as 1, but also box sets as 1.

CDs must be in the 500 range but I haven't entered them into Discogs.

Yeah, I have around 100 cassette tapes and 75 singles included in my total but also several box sets that are only counting as a single entry

haha i'm at about 1900 right now (plus a LOT of 45s in a separate discogs acct....about 700 45s). I inhereited a lot of 45s and a jukebox from a friend a few years ago when he moved from NY to LA.
