Definitive Audiophile pressings

Picked up a RL mastering of Love Over Gold a little while back for $19.
Holy shit this is a damn good cut!

No issue trading the Mofi back for this sound IMO.
The vinyl could be a tad quieter but the instruments are separated much better.
Killer sounding OG.
Quiex II vinyl?

Anyone playing the new Rhino Van release? Haven't seen much traffic on it? My copy hasn't moved in UPS system since 8/24.o_O

The Rhino High Fidelity sounds great to me - but I'm not sure it's much of an upgrade over an already available much cheaper copy Keven Gray cut a while back at AcousTech Mastering. I get he has a different mastering chain now - but I'm not really sure you can hear it on this title.

I'm really curious how it stacks up against the RL OG.
For THE RECORD, RL is KGs dad but it's never been proven.

What’re the rumors on this one? I think I still saw the Miles in the Craft sale…
I have an odd connection whereby a guy I follow on Instagram has a friend that works at the warehouse. He's been able to tell me what each one will be so far in advance of the date, I will pop him a message and see if he dishes the dirt.

I've actually been enjoying how the titles tend to be lesser known albums. Much better than another Kind Of Blue, etc, there seems to be endless pressings of those.

Yea miles is down to 700 copies left. Guaraldi only sold about half. No rumors at all yet. Craft did tell me awhile ago they had some non-jazz titles planned…would love something from Stax
Damn they still have 700? That might never sell out. Wonder if they cutback the numbers here, I gotta imagine they start to.

That’s what it looks like if you add a ton to cart and try to check out.

I think their biggest mistake is limiting this to their site only…I imagine Miles would have sold out if they hadn’t also agreed to let Chad repress his version for almost a third of the cost. Still no clue why they did the 3LP of Guaraldi at the same time too. That had to have cannibalized sales.

Depending on the title I’ll probably grab this next one too but might not do it on day 1 unless it’s a killer title.

I’d bite if they ever did the two Wilburys albums but I imagine sales for that would be pure carnage.

Curious if anyone has compared these mono Miles Davis pressings:

Mono MoFi Milestones vs. mono Kevin Gray 2013 cut

Mono MoFi Round about Midnight vs. mono Kevin Gray 2013 cut

I have the KPG versions, which I like, but wondering if the MoFi tops them. Been listening to a lot of the electric era Miles 2xLP MoFi pressings and they sound superb.

Edit: Listening to the 2013 KPG cut of 'Round About Midnight right now, I don't think MoFi can best this one, except for maybe the quality of the jacket. FOMO be gone!

Got this one about 9 months ago, looks like a nice copy is under $20 shipped

Did anyone ever compare the Blue Note Classics series Madlib Shades of Blue with the one released a bit before by VMP?

Just curious. Spinning the Blue Note Classics series version right now and KPG did a really fine job on it.
