Definitive Audiophile pressings

This Rhino Reserve Eddie Hazel sounds really fucking good y’all. It’s got a real slight warp, but dead quiet wax and the mastering is spot on. It’s all the shit we always say about vinyl… 3D sound, great stage, super cool dynamics. Crazy ass separation. There was a fun bit earlier where I could hear Bootsy hitting the bass strings. And don’t even get me started on the fucking drums. Now I really want an audiophile copy of Maggot Brain.

Welp- looks like I'm spending $500+ on Bob Marley records this year. I already have the RV and Exodus 33s and love them.

Yeah the MFer rocks the roof off.

The bass licks from Chump to Longview sound unreal. Everything sounds really good, cranked as loud as you want to go with zero harshness.

The opening on She is killer.

Wasn't sure what to expect but it's exceeding expectations to me. The soundstage is totally insane. This should go down as some of CBs best work.

That's what I like to hear. Will get my hands on one of these at some point!

Was about to leave an angry comment on this video, but for now I'll just share it here:

Neill King engineered, Rob Cavallo produced, and Jerry Finn mixed (on a Neve). It features absolutely smacking drum sounds to tape, wonderfully harmonic and open Marshalls, everything is perfectly in phase - but sure Mike, it's not a good sounding recording.

he's a hack with a social media following. i watched one of his whatnot auctions and everything went for like 3-4x discogs prices. i don't know what's wrong with people.

I do order from him occasionally because as far as I know, it's the only place to get Analogue Productions titles with free shipping and available to discount, and I enjoy his weekly release videos, but to your point - so many of these YouTubers legit don't know what they're listening to, or for. They're the "digital is evil" crowd.

Makes me appreciate Darko and Guttenberg all the more.
