Definitive Audiophile pressings

Anyone own and have a opinion on the current Specialty (Fantasy?) pressing of Here's Little Richard currently available ?

Not familiar with that pressing but the most recent pressing I saw on discogs with a quick look seemed to have some decent reviews. I did see a listing for a MoFi of this album the other week though! Didn't realize it got the MoFi treatment!

Here's one for the experts. What's the best modern reissue of Bookends by Simon and Garfunkel?
The 2018 Columbia repress is readily available at a reasonable price and was cut by RKS. Any opinions on that one?
Or is a Sundazed 2012 repress, KPG/QRP per cogs and AAA per Fremer, worth hunting down? And was the original 2008 Sundazed reissue also cut by KPG?
Or should I just wait for MoFi to press it for the boomers?

I wish most albums I was looking at had pressing choices of RKS, KG, or realistically waiting on the boomers for a MoFi.

I have Sundazed Bridge Over Troubled Water and it’s excellent.

After you posted I went to find it and couldn't even find a page for it.
Acoustic Sounds regularly removes pages from their search once an item is sold out and OOP. It went up yesterday AM for 34.99. Got posted to Reddit so I’m sure tons of people bought it and their inventory count was screwed up. Mine hasn’t been cancelled yet. Fingers crossed...

Well that didn’t age well. Order is cancelled in my orders. They just didn’t email me to let me know...

I hate when stores do this, it smells of baiting but in this case just not having a good real time system.
You’d think somewhere as big as Acoustic Sounds would have it figured out better. But I bet that they aren’t used to people bombarding the site with orders all at the same time. Damnit Reddit!

Yeah, it's like all those people that start buying some stock after someone else has posted on reddit that other people should buy this stock -Too fuckin' Late !:ROFLMAO:

I think you already know my answer to this question 😂 it looks like my local has the 2012 on discogs so i might swing by and buy it this weekend. i like to buy from them in person instead of discogs so they don't have to pay the cogs fee. i can let ya know how it sounds if you want!

Those S&G sundazed are digital transfers done by Bob Irwin, doesn't say anything in that Fremer link about them being AAA. The only Sundazed albums that I know for sure are AAA are the Byrds catalog and maybe one or two more. I believe Irwin said the Phil Spector a Christmas Gift Sundazed was AAA. I think they did a AAA Aretha too but idr.

If you want a great sounding S&G go get a cleanish pressing from the 60s, they sound great. Otherwise your best bet is a Mofi.

Bookends was never released on MoFi (on vinyl at least...I think they did a CD). I do have an OG on it and it sounds good from what I remember but it's in storage right now so I can't take a listen.

Yeah, and I've heard all the Sundazed S&G reissues cut by KG are all worthwhile and sound really good. I know that my VG 67 pressing of PSR&T trumps the sundazed. Every time I hear an original version and compare it to a sundazed, the OG/AAA version is easily superior in every way.

I think I paid $2 for my OG pressing of Bookends but it's becoming harder and harder (at least in NY) to find clean originals for cheap.

Any recommendations on Sounds of Silence? I don't think KG touched that one or at least I can't fine one :)
