Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

To atone for that last one I've been meaning to ask if Darlington direct is the best route to a MM-6 or if there's open box cost cutting opportunities elsewhere?
I just got my MM-6 direct from them and would strongly recommend it. They upgraded some of the parts with stuff from the new MM-7, and upgraded the jacks as well. All for free. An even better product arrived than what I thought I was paying for.

I'll check those out thanks! But the refurb cost on the Soundsmith is really appealing considering how much these all cost.
Former 2M Black lover.... Once I settled into the Zephyr ES I have zero, regrets. I think the resolution is better and surface noise is mostly not a thing anymore. The ART-9 was great too. I could do either.

Edit: Also I have a spare Zephyr that has less than 100 hours on it which I may be parting with soon if that is of interest. I was gonna have a second for when the other is out, but I think I might rotate between the ART-9 in those cases.

Thanks that's great to hear! Do you have the MKII? Or the MIMC?

Cool, I think I would have to get the MKIII due to my stage, I'm not sure what the big difference is between the two. Likely similar sound I would imagine. Though with that price difference maybe not...
Actually, I'm confused by their site. I the newer of the last two. It's a MIMC Star ES not the old "mimc" they had. But not the MK III either.

I also run a MIMC Star ES. I think you'll really enjoy it coming from the 2M Black. You give up no meaningful detail and the imaging is tremendous.
