Hmmmm, speakers connected out of phase? Uh... wrong input, going into pre ins instead of mains? Uhhhh... hmmmNot likely. Mine are up around the 150watts a decent listening level.

You are right. I meant 50... I just quickly scanned the front gauges and I though it was around 100 in the middle...I feel like at 150W you'd be blowing your eardrums. Volume knobs are not at all linear.
See above...Hmmmm, speakers connected out of phase? Uh... wrong input, going into pre ins instead of mains? Uhhhh... hmmm
Haha no no I didn't mean for you, I meant for the VU meters on Debians not working...See above...
The Lintons are specced at 90db sensitivity, which isn't bad at all. I think you'd be shocked how little power they're actually receiving at typical listening volumes. You are right. I meant 50... I just quickly scanned the front gauges and I though it was around 100 in the middle...

I'd wager I operate my Fortes at less than 6W most of the time.
So, factory reset and firmware update fixed several things including the needles. Maybe it was pissed that I installed BluOS before ever powering it on? To @Mather's point though, the needles are barely moving at modest volume levels but definitely climb when pushing the volume. Operation burn in is underway. Are those Lintons crazy efficient? Is it possible they're running on such lower power that it's not moving the needle?
You'll see more movement with bass-heavy music. Takes more spark. So, factory reset and firmware update fixed several things including the needles. It’s better than like the weird black plasticy looking boxes most subs tend to be. Like I could probably get my wife on board with something like that.I mean it also kind of looks like a laundry hamper too.

I love my Lintons! Hope you enjoy them tooIn a meaningless protest against Magnepan the Wharfedale Lintons are ordered with free stands at upscale audio.
Still don’t know if it’s plugged in correctly for optimal sound, esp with pho preamp but sounds lil better then onkyoTest run now…always in rainbows
