Classic L100s? afaik, yes.

They were shut but I think there might be a hold sticker on them. Seemed like price was $800 for the pairClassic L100s? afaik, yes.
For what it is worth, here is a review; $800 seems steep to me.Spotted at my local thrift store…these any good?

Maybe if they throw in the flag too?Not for nothing, that was posted in 2012.
I also think $800 for speakers at a thrift store is insane unless they are gonna let me test them before I walk out the door.
And the pair of side tables to use as stands.Maybe if they throw in the flag too?
I may be wrong on the price. Only saw it through the window and the flag was obscuring part of the price hah.Not for nothing, that was posted in 2012.

Maybe $80 rather than $800!I may be wrong on the price. Only saw it through the window and the flag was obscuring part of the price hah.
Also they would let me test them I’m sure. They have a lot of audio gear in the back. I grabbed 5 disc SACD player there for $20 and they let me test it. They had some speakers and cables in the back and some amps.
I’m not looking to buy these anyway…they do look pretty sweet though. It’s a thrift/charity shop so prices are usually all over the place
I Think that is a good place to start and should serve your daughter well. There is merit in automatic turntables.I ended up getting my daughter an Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT and some Bluetooth speakers. It's a nice starter setup for her and didn't break the bank. We set it up last night and she listened to Jeff Buckley's Grace that she got from her uncle before going to bed last night. Sounds pretty nice and I like that it cues up for her so she's not having to keep track of where the stylus is going to hit.
I know others here don't like the LP60, but it was my starter deck when I got back into vinyl after my dad's turntable bit the dust. It worked really well for me and was nice to use until I felt confident that investing in a better turntable wouldn't be a waste of money. I think it's perfect for those who are vinyl curious without spending a lot. Far better than the suitcase players, and because it's not that expensive if she decides to upgrade soon it's not a big loss of money and you can sell it for most of what you paid on Craigslist in a weekend.I ended up getting my daughter an Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT and some Bluetooth speakers. My only complaint is that they track heavy, which can be detrimental, but what I DO like about them is you literally can't screw anything up. It's all fixed. Agree. It's not a table for long term use unless you don't mind the wear on your records. My only complaint is that they track heavy, which can be detrimental, but what I DO like about them is you literally can't screw anything up. It's all fixed. Press the start button and go!

I don't think 3-3.5g is that excessive. Plenty of 'Real Carts' back in the day tracked at much higher weights.Agree. It's not a table for long term use unless you don't mind the wear on your records.
Yeah, my thought is it's a nice bedroom/studying system for her and maybe she takes it on with her to college. She doesn't need a really elaborate audiophile set up. The Bluetooth option gives her later flexibility and she can tie in her Spotify to those speakers. Of my two daughters, she's the one that will take care of records more than the other. I've already parted with some records of mine that we have mutual interest in that I don't mind getting worn out. I'm doing more with DAC and Roon now anyway.I know others here don't like the LP60, but it was my starter deck when I got back into vinyl after my dad's turntable bit the dust.
