Day 20 - Jenga - Pull an album randomly from the middle of your stack, bin, or shelf and play it

I used to play giant Jenga at this cool bar in Denver called 1up where they served 40s and bottles of Boone's Farm that for some reason I love. I also enjoyed drinking straight out of a bottle of "wine" at the bar.

My favorite flavor.

I can't say I've ever had Boone's Farm Fuzzy Navels, but I drank an inordinate amount of Fuzzy Navels (Orange Juice and Peach Schnapps) in college (and Boone's Farm too). I have no desire to ever drink them again. Just seeing this brings back some fuzzy memories.

Yeah it's been over a decade since I've had either, so there's a good chance I'd smell it and remember why it's been over a decade.

Mrs ImtheOcean does quite a bit of woodworking, she's built cornhole sets, kitchen tables, my standup desk, and a giant jenga set. Unfortunately, the giant jenga set has been sitting outside during the pandemic and is warped, so no pics!

Pulled randomly from one of the cubes in my Kallax. I don't think I've ever spun this before, but I'm sure enjoying it.

In high school we would occasionally have Carlo parties where we would buy giant 4 liter jugs of Carlo Rossi and see if we could drink them before we either passed out or vomited. We were kinda dumb but it led so wild evenings.
Oh yeah, we made hobo juice in Carlo jugs and would go hiking. It was a bad combo. I look back at young me and shake my head sometimes. But it felt like living and the memories are mostly good.

We keep talking about having a College Drink party when things get back to a semblance of normal, have everyone bring their (then) favorite drink. I sense a lot of sweet drinks & jagermeister, might be better in theory than in practice.

I feel like I could still down a Jager if it was ice cold, but maybe only one or two. The only college drink I know I could still do was where you take a 30 pack of some crap beer and mix it with country time lemonade powder and vodka. That's just refreshing in the summer imo. 😂

Jager was always a sipping drink to me, not a shooter. I'd always like to have a small bottle in my pocket for long nights partying outdoors. Or a mini bottle in my pocket for when I was DJing a dry venue so I could duck down behind the decks and have a pull every so often throughout my set. Mmmm... fermented herbs and spices!

I like Chartreuse and Campari for the herbal stuff, but that was back when I was single and made better money. Can't afford the good stuff these days with my vinyl addiction. And the wife doesn't drink, so I've cut back and usually just keep either a good bourbon or a bottle of Madeira on the shelf for those late night listening sessions.

I quit drinking about five and a half years ago (I was too good at it!) but the idea of a good bottle of bourbon sure does warm my insides right up! Yum.

I've cut back a lot because I need to watch my sugar intake these days, but all of those herbal and bitter drinks were totally my thing. Campari and club, americanos , Last Word, Manhattans and Negronis were my go to's. Like you, I usually go for a type of whiskey these days (bourbon, scotch, irish, canadian, whatever but good quality).

It's one of the nice things about getting older is that we often start to appreciate quality over quantity.
