I ordered a couple of 7 inches from Sub Pop and they had a nifty feature where I could have them shipped to my local shop for free. I took them up on that, fully knowing that it would end up costing me much, much more than whatever the media mail rate would've been. But at least I've got something to show for it instead. The damage, finally filling out my previously non-existent DS catalog:

I've been sucked into the Colemine rabbit hole after seeing their stuff pop up on the pre-orders sub a lot. The Colemine thread isn't helping either!! Decided to pick this up as there seems to be a ton of music on here and hopefully it will help me pick out some favorites to look into!

A 50p single pick up. Hampton was a jazz vibraphonist, drummer and pianist. Worth picking up for the price.

I have been meaning to read this for a while and I actually had a copy that I misplaced. Wilmer focuses on jazz greats such as Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, Albert Ayler, Sun Ra, to build a narrative of how black music established itself in American history.

Beneath The Underdog - Charles Mingus
Autobiography by the famous Charles Mingus himself.

I need that Pepper in my collection ASAP. It is one of my favorite live jazz albums of all time. Pepper's playing is so heartfelt, daring, melodic and passionate in this album.

Ha, thanks man. I'm a super new fan of The National. I just came across their music a week or so ago. Absolutely blown away and starting to add some of their albums to my collection.

It’s fantastic, I was really blown away. There’s a series apparently. There’s definitely a “Friday Night....Vol.4” (which leads me to believe there’s a 2 & 3) and also a “Thursday night....” and “Saturday night....”
