Top row: My Light In the Attic order, the Spooner Oldham record came as a bonus.
Middle row: Quelle Chris blood splatter reissue of Innocent Country; the two signed Tortoise I picked up from a Reddit user
Bottom row: Mystery bundle bought from Org Music. Not a fan of compilations, but excited about the Hubbard record!

Ummmm...notification? What I miss?!
I own both of those and can confirm that they are indeed VERY fancy. You did good.Talking about fancy @Mather, look what I literally just picked up from my local 10 minutes ago!

And I think the prices are really fair too! AUD$100 for the 2xLP 45RPM MoFi Curtis Mayfield and AUD$175 for the 3xLP MoFi Bob Dylan!
Also fun fact guys! I’m going into this Bob Dylan semi-blind! The only song I’ve ever heard from this album is “Just Like A Woman”! But I’ve heard such great things about this album and so much people say this pressing and album is a must own! And I do love the song “Just Like A Woman” as well! And this also ranks very high in all-time lists so I thought why not!

Two of my most anticipated arrivals in ages. Lucy Pearl is an old favourite, thanks to @Skalap for making me aware that a reissue has happened. And I’ve only heard samples of the bottom one but it sounds great. I ordered it a month ago and have been watching it stuck in limbo between Chicago and Heathrow for 3 weeks, finally accepting it would probably never show up. Tracking updated at the weekend and it arrived in perfect condition today.

I am fairly picky myself, my gauge is usually whether the damage will bum me out in 6 months when I pull it off my shelf, if the answer is yes, I will usually reach out. It also depends on how much of a pain in the ass it would be to get a refund or replacement. Amazon or VMP, I almost always will go forward for a replacement copy but ultimately it just depends what you are comfortable with. Also, if at all possible, I will usually attempt to contact the sell and request they send the pack with the LP on the outside of the jacket/sleeves and most are happy to accommodate. These three arrived today. All nice and perfect except a split on the top of Drive.
RDR2 won't fit in the sleeve as it's a bit of a chunky double so will try another brand and see if that works.
(Don't worry, they'll all be in mofi sleeves when they turn up!)
Being new and someone particularly picky about damage anyway I'm still not sure what's deemed reasonable when buying new and what comes with the territory of getting records through the post. In this case it's a little annoying but I'm guessing it's small to where it's the type of thing I should get somewhat accustomed to?
Obviously know the damage could be way worse but just getting a gauge of what I should be expecting moving forward.
Either way, really happy with these.
Very much the same myself when it comes to being picky so I might reach out to them as they (Invada) are also UK based and see if they're open to a replacement. Might be worth suggesting whether I could just get the jacket itself sent as opposed to the whole unit? That's interesting on the attempt to get them to separate the LP and jacket/sleeves. Is it usually kept in the inner one or how do they package it? I would have initially assumed it would be more risky (though less risk to the packaging) so hadn't considered it. Is this a somewhat common practice when concerned about damage during delivery? Thanks for the comment and recommendation.I am fairly picky myself, my gauge is usually whether the damage will bum me out in 6 months when I pull it off my shelf, if the answer is yes, I will usually reach out. Yeah, it is more and more common as online album purchasing has grown. Some smaller labels will automatically send out LPs this way as it really is the best way to prevent sleeve damage. Typically when sent on the outside of the jacket the seller will place the LP in a generic sleeve and then place the jacket and record in a clear outer protective sleeve with the record either in front of or behind the jacket. Most sellers that have experience know this process fairly well. The only issue some people have is, if it’s a new LP it would no longer be “sealed” but if you are purchasing the album to listen to as opposed to for collecting, then you would be unsealing the LP anyways. I would say general consensus amongst the community would be that we wish that mailing outside of the the jacket would become the standard operating procedure but logistically it seems unlikely unfortunately.Very much the same myself when it comes to being picky so I might reach out to them as they (Invada) are also UK based and see if they're open to a replacement. This is super interesting, thank you for the knowledge boost. Will definitely be buying the overwhelming majority for listening so this is really useful.
