Went to bent crayon records today in Cleveland, awesome vinyl shop full of international jazz, dance, ambient, psychedelic and so much more . They had a psychedelic post-punk Chinese band birdstriking that I love and the psychedelic speed freaks so I had to pick these up

Wow i'm actually kinda annoyed with the way the VMP "OBI" sporatically shows up on my shelf, so I take them out and put them flat inside gatefold or whatever. But this kinda looks cool all together.

My wife wrapped everything that arrived in the mail this past week and gave it all to me for Father’s Day this morning. I’m thinking she did this partly as an intervention, as if to say, Just look how much you’re buying, this is insane. These gifts included the Dylan box set (not numbered -maybe it’s more rare to not have a number, going off others’ experiences here? Just kidding), my VMP box (including Weyes Blood, surprisingly), my Bespoke box, some records from Light in the Attic, The Bullmoose Funkadelic Finest, Iron and Wine/Calexico, Springsteen, and my Apollo Sunshine (thanks, @scotthilk, this album is as great as I remembered it, and the bonus record is really interesting!). Things will wind down starting July when I start counting my vinyl calories...

Bespoke Post box of 4 VMP LPs for $30 shipped, a 45RPM AP Green Street, Classic Records pressing of Blue Train, MM of Dexter Gordon's Our Man in Paris, japanese press of Grant Green Oleo, Chet Baker Sings repress, the Ebi Soda EP from Mr. Bongo and finally received the Stars VMP re-release.
