I headed on down to Oly today and after meeting up with @JonnyH at Olympia Coffee I walked over to one of my favorite record stores, Rainy Day Records, and walked out with some winners. Doug Sahm, Clapton, and Croce are all great records that weren’t part of my collection but they were all under $9 a piece and in really great condition, I couldn’t pass them up. GBV was one of the 3 albums they released in 2020, it’s probably my favorite of the three but wasn’t planning on purchasing the record but when it was sitting in the used record bin for only $10 I figured I might as well pick it up. The Merl/Garcia album is fire and while the cover is a litttle worn the albums themselves are in fantastic condition. The two new LPs I picked up are both great the Neil Young album was the first Neil Young album I ever purchased (on CD) and The Morgan Wade LP is an AOTY shortlist contender.

Big shout out to @waruv for getting these beauties my way and helping keep my Record Store Day streak alive.
This was my 5th RSD event and I'm at 100% fulfillment and 95% scalper free!
(I took a bit of a hit on last year's Sun Ra box set because my local got zero and I wasn't yet part of a great community looking out for each other.)

@gafacaode My After Dark 3 just arrived! Took a while, but this looks glorious.
Here's the package from IDIB. As usual, they packed a few extras. Some Desire promo cards, a couple cool newspaper print posters and as they often do, a free bonus CD - this time the latest by Glume.
The printed inners are gorgeous.
And this is the slime green vinyl. All three LPs are the same color. And to top it off, the deadwax is signed by Bernie Grundman and this is pressed at RTI.

I cancelled my Rough Trade pre order that was pushed back to August when I saw the electric blue 2nd pressing on IDIB.
It's already on it's way!
I wonder if it's also signed by BG and pressed at RTI.

I dropped the needle on it quickly and it sounds fantastic. It's 45 rpm too. Pressing seemed really quiet... planning on blasting this tomorrow when the house is empty.

It seems to be the case lately that they use BG or CB, but I have a few GZ presses. My Closer To Grey is not RTI or GZ but I can't tell where it's from. Some of the later Closer to Grey were Pallas.
