Fresh Grabs

Kind of an awesome god damn coincidence that the pharmacist ordered in Sgt. Pepper's as the last post above this considering I got the lovely Joe Bob version below (If anyone can name at least 5 characters from the cover I just want to say you have great taste). Also, grabbed the Boom Baptist release and a Joe Bob slipmat at the same time.

Top left is one of those boxsets where every vinyl is a different genre and celebrity reading a story they used to play on Weekdays. I got this strictly for the Vincent Price disc but I might just get in that 80's vibe and do 1 a day for a week.. Who knows!

These 3 along with the Detroit Mix of Marvin Gaye were all Amazon Warehouse buys and while there's some varying sleeve damage on them all other then the Slightly Stoopid (pretty sure someone returned it just because it was the standard black) I think im keeping them all for what I paid. So that's def. a win.

Then finally got the reissue of Insomniac as it's one of the few Green Day albums I really like and full of nostalgic magic.

Lastly, The Ghastly Ones - Unearthed! I really thought I missed out on this one but I not only got it but was able to snatch up a mystery color version which is kind of a nice bonus. Johnny Fink who runs the label is a pretty cool dude, looking forward to a few other releases coming as well now.

Sooooo? What do you think?
I have not been able to spin more than a couple of tracks but what I heard sounded great. It'll be an interesting comparison to the box set. My initial impression without comparison of the two is that the Mofi sounds a bit less studio post produced and more kinda messy and live sounding. Which I like. But that was after like, 6 minutes of listening then I had to go to work.

Working for a living is over rated…
