Sadly won't be getting to the big O for a while. Closest I will be is Montreal in OctoberMet up with @Hollywood and @Turbo to do some digging at The Record Centre in Ottawa today...

Blowing in from Chicago is one I've been wanting for a long while but has always been more than I could justify after shipping online; this '84 Japanese pressing was still pricey, but quite a bit less.
The Dead Can Dance has been out of print for a bit and also winds up being far too costly after shipping when I look online, but here it was in the clearance section!
Topped off with a cheap 12" from The Family, a tasty donut, good coffee and great company it's been a damn fine Sunday afternoon.

PleasureIf you do eventually make it to Ottawa, definitely do give me a shout.
Are you going to Montreal for work or pleasure?
Might be potentially the original album version before Gwen was added on.The vinyl diet is heading in the right direction this month. Traded in 7 items and added only 4.
Social Distortion - Mommy's Little Monster
Swervedriver - Raise (MOV reissue)
Wayne Shorter - Adam's Apple (BN Classics - Boom Boom #146)
Moby - Play (2022 reissue) - had the VMP pressing and in purging phase ended up selling it. Realized about 6 months later that I wanted it again. Just listening to South Side and I swear he has pushed Gwen Stefani so far down in the mix you cannot hear her (she is still credited on the album).

I totally forgot about that. It has been so long but I think the VMP version had the version with Gwen on it. Since it was such a successful song for him, surprised the reissue did not included the single version. Not miffed just curious.Might be potentially the original album version before Gwen was added on.
I have the albums released on CD when they came out and the album version released without her and I was surprised when the single had Gwen on it. I think VMP did have her version on it. I don't have that version either and just checked mine. It also has no Gwen that I can notice. Curious if it's a separate rights to the different version of the song thing. Also not a huge deal to me because I was used to the non-Gwen version - and it's honestly not that different.I totally forgot about that. Yesterday I mentioned to @Turbo that I had been tempted by VMP a couple of times recently, one of them being for Sun Ship. Today he kindly hooked me up with these hand-me-downs since he's upgraded his copies...

I'm looking forward to digging into the Gainsbourg when I get back out west - it's an album I've been very aware of for the past 25 years, but have never actually dug into.
God I love Swervedriver. Mezcal Head is fire!!The vinyl diet is heading in the right direction this month. Traded in 7 items and added only 4.
