Fresh Grabs

Well that blows, hopefully, and I don't see why not, they'll get you taken care of AND hopefully, and I'm sorry for you, it's not wide spread. Although, I'm not feeling good about it now, lol.

Mine show up on Wed. we'll see and I'd like to hear from others who jumped in.
I don’t think this is widespread, I think it’s an isolated incident, or maybe like less than 3% of them have it.

It’s like @Crabbers getting a wrong album in his Bob Dylan Mono Box but the rest of us received the right package.

Relax, I promise you will be fine. ✌

Totally forgot about this pre-order.

Curren$y x LNDN DRGS - Umbrella Symphony (Clear, ltd to 200)

Damnnn @Enaz Fox just saw the pink one with OBI strip on discogs, and am feeling a bit of FOMO lol. Both limited to 200 though, but that OBI is sexy.

I have a new addiction...

Combing Dealz stores for €1.50 CDs...

Some more 90s/early 00s quality...

This is perfect for one of albums best ofs by artists who didn’t sustain an album/career or artists who only had that 1 or 2 great albums and whose career doesn’t warrant a full vinyl collection!

Also a relatively harmless addiction, between yesterday and today I’ve bought 14 which has cost me €21, the equivalent of one very cheap vinyl record!

I keep avoiding adding a CD player to the system for this reason, lol
Nice inexpensive grabs ;)

As someone who had an extensive (1200-1400ish) cd collection before moving into vinyl I kept my same old cd separate the whole time. I’ll never replace everything (not just because money - also availability and storage space). They’re a great way to keep collection stuff, and collect new stuff, that you like, but don’t €25+ like

Oh, I know, I have that discussion with myself a lot, lol. I've also really focused on my vinyl collection, there's plenty there to keep me going and each additional media I add is money away from picking up one of the numerous albums on my current want list, so why add the temptation....it's an itch I actively try to avoid scratching :)

I go through phases. Also vinyl is so bloody expensive...

I’m on a diet right now and don’t begrudge myself €21 for that many albums...

The other thing I’ve noticed actually with big collection goals is getting sick of the sound of the same artist!

Completing Dylan/Neil Young/etc is more important to me long term than any of these but having bought so much Dylan this year I’m kinda bored of it so mixing it up and doing the big goals over a longer period isn’t bad either

Agreed, this is why I try and not go on specific artist benders, box sets excluded, lol. And I don't know if I have any artist that I feel the need to complete their discography, probably a saving grace.

The Beatles?
I’m a bit of a completionist (in terms of albums anyway). That’s probably my biggest weakness in this hobby.

Touche, lol.........but even with the Beatles I'm not hell bent on getting EVERYTHING, but I'm not forcing it, I'm not only focusing on putting together that particular part of my collection, I slide a wanted Beatles pressing in every so often, mostly because there different pressings, not albums I don't have, lol.

Agreed! My completionism is studio albums. I’m very much not a fan of demos and live albums and I’ll only go for best ofs & singles/b-sides collections if they’re exceptional or by an artist who specialised in non album singles.

McAlmont and Butler is a great album , can’t believe Suede rejected You Do

Some fresh Blue Notes today.

Sidney Bechet ‎– Jazz Classics Volume 1 & 2 (1955)

Currently discussing this with the seller as they were incorrectly listed as first pressings, but they are actually second presses. Not really sure what to do as I got them at a good price and they are in really decent shape, especially for their age. Decision, decisions .
