Little Wings
Here we have a couple Original K Records Pressings of Little Wings Light Green Leaves and Wonderue
I happened across both of these at a local record store and let out an audible “WHOAH” upon flipping by these in my recent arrivals bin. Obviously living in the Pacific Northwest as I do you’d be more likely to stumble as stuff like this than you would elsewhere that being said I was still pretty excited as they aren’t the most common releases.
I was most excited to purchase Light Green Leaves even though I already own a nice repress of this because Light Green Leaves is a strange bird.
When It was initially released in the early 2000’s the album was released in 3 different formats; cassette, LP, and CD. Each format had a different cut of the album cassette being the rough demos and CD being the final completed take, the LP falling somewhere between the two. The repress that I own (which sounds great BTW) was actually not a repress at all but an initial pressing of the CD version on wax (kinda confusing, I know) so now I own both versions and could not be happier especially when you add Wonderue into the mix which is my 2nd favorite Little Wings album and one that was only ever pressed once about 15 years ago and is pretty hard to come by.
