Hip Hop

I dont know what happened with bizzy.

The drug era/crack era really made him release tons of shit music. His solo album list is just a graveyard of failed concepts and tracks.
I remember back in this time period a collab from him was so easy and cheap to get cause I assume the poor guy was tapped out for cash.

But through all of this I still got so much love & respect for the man and even watched all his huge rants on youtube (dunno why but I did).

So I will probably wait to see reviews then grab this bizzy to support the man thanks for dropping the news cause I didnt hear a single thing about it @bizzydesigner

He went to a place for a while. Didn't think he'd make it back lol This combined with the last Krayzie & Bizzy duo album (new waves) leads me to believe he's right in the mind now. He had (has) some demons for sure. I'm hoping for the best lol The first two songs from this were Migos/21 Savage diss songs (Carbon monoxide and Enigma)

Went ahead and grabbed Chickenwire. Mostly because it's real good, but also to get a replacement cover for Being Woke Ain't Fun. Initially I wasn't sure I was going to get a new cover, but I followed up after 2 weeks like he had asked and he was real cool about it. Sent me the Bandcamp codes too since I had ordered both through the Fxck Rxp site.

Yeah, I haven't been happy about some of my experience with FXCK RXP - for instance that Perfect 3 was supposed to be a black and yellow split vinyl when I ordered it last Nov. but I'm not that bothered about it and the owner has always responded to emails. It's a small operation just getting off the ground so I'm willing to cut them some slack - apparently the pressing issues are not going to be an issue moving forward.

Which version did you go for?

I liked the marble, but grabbed a gold because it was more limited and kinda stood out against the b&w cover. Everyone knows the more limited variants sound better

My fav mixtape series. I bought these a long time ago from a mixtape site. You were supposedly buying stickers and the mixtapes came “free”
lmao i remember the good old mixtape days. the gangsta grillz series have a lot of underground classics of the '00s era.

thoughts on Roc Marciano? nothing I've heard from him ever really stuck with me and I've never had the urge to take a deep dive into his projects
The album with Muggs is good but I've never really taken a deep dive either. For whatever reason I kinda feel the same.

that Rex Ryan track with Westside and Conway is great tho.

Yall are crazy. Roc is a ridiculous rapper. Way better than like 95% of the shit that gets posted here. He put out his first record like 22 years ago, was part of Flipmode Squad (he's on a Busta album on "The Heist"), went away for a bit and then came back with The U.N. .. signed to Carson Daly's record label... U N or U Out? is an amazing album, top to bottom. He then followed it up with his debut solo, Marcberg .. that is like the closest we've got to a modern day The Infamous or Hell On Earth.

He then followed that up with the critically acclaimed Reloaded as well as like 5-6 albums since then, all solid-to-really dope. That's when he's not producing for Westside Gunn or rapping with KA as Metal Clergy.

Yall are crazy.

Got first introduced to Roc Marci with Rosebudd's Revenge and instantly fell in love with the smokey noir and minimal production combined with his excessively smooth pimp raps that make him sound like a black Goodfella. Very unorthodox, and distinct flow. Rosebudd's Revenge 2 did not disappoint at all either. Only other album of his I've taken the time for is Behold a Dark Horse which didn't click for me the same way upon a couple listens.

Bottom line is dude is super dope, makes his own incredible beats and always has fire features. I'm a fan

It should be noted that Metal Clergy has been promised for almost a decade now and nathan has really come of it so maybe it won't happen but they still fucks with each other hard. Animoss, the dude that produced KA's last record, got his 'start' of sorts as part of the Arch Druids producing for Roc Marciano and then producing for him solo as well.

What the hell dude? We just said we weren't familiar with him - ease up.

I'm not one of the younger people posting 95% of the shit you don't like. i just haven't listened to much Roc, but thanks for the lesson.

I listened to Marcebreg years ago but wasn't super into it at the time. I'll check it out again.

I dig Roc but I have the same issue with him as I do Ka... it’s the production. I like drums and if you don’t have them you need to be really grabbing my attention. Now don’t get me wrong, both are great wordsmiths, just hasn’t floated my boat like others.

My bad if it came across stronger than I intended. Was just trying to emphasize how dope I think he is... not necessarily shit on any of y'all. But sometimes I think I can come across that way so my appy polly loggies.

Kinda in the same boat to be honest. I still dig their stuff but I liked their stuff a lot more when it had drums.
