I'm 43 and am almost always one of the oldest people at hip hop shows. It's going to get real weird when I'm in my 60's and 70's and I'm still in that scene.Grabbed tickets for his next tour the other day, he’s playing dublin on my birthday next year. Based on his last gig (the last one I went to before lockdown actually) at 28 I’ll probably be the oldest person there

Hah! This reminded me of being at a Blackstar show a few years back when a young whippersnapper made a crack about too many old people being there. I was like shit dude, you weren’t even alive when they dropped their debut in 98. Let us graybeards enjoy the music of our youth in peace!

Tomorrow, September 3, 2021 at 12pm CST, Ankhlejohn's Mahamudra will finally be released on vinyl.
MAHAMUDRA will be available on four different variants:
- Black (with flexi) /50
- Black (with flexi + obi) /50
- Auburn Marble /100
- Clear /150
The flexi disk contains two new Ankhlejohn tracks, one of which is For The Summer, a song Ankh released a music video for earlier this year. The record has been remastered for vinyl and pressed on 180-gram wax.
After having to push back the record a couple times so we could get things perfect, we're excited to be finally dropping Mahamudra.

Fun fact about MAHAMUDRA:
Jack Black, actor and musician in Tenacious D, hit up the plant that pressed Mahamudra, saying he wanted to do an etched 7" for a Tenacious D release, but wasn't sure of the limitations or how detailed they could get with it. The plant sent him pictures of the etched b-side for Mahamudra, and he was so blown away and impressed that it inspired him to get a nice etching done for their next vinyl release.
