Hip Hop

Oh shit! Forgot about this, though. Sounds like the OBI sold out immediately, anyway. Just grabbed the Eye For An Eye

I also forgot lol but luckily still had some choices.

Happy bday aswell! hope u had a good 1

Thanks! Which did you grab?

I cant even remember haha I think I got some of each.

I know yall hate this song cause it aint his old classic style but I feel if this sets the bar for the year then we are in for an amazing year.
ALCs production on this track is immaculate.
I fucking love this song lol

I'm obsessed with this track but I hold them both at a high bar so this was right in my wheelhouse. I think this track really proves the old thought that seemed popular throughout that Benny might have the highest "star" appeal to his work.

Also saw a few comments here I believe mentioning this comparatively to Joe Pesci 38 sonically for TT3. For me that's a huge W as that's one of if not my fav track on it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't rate J cole at all.
I've never intentionally gone out of my way to hear a solo song by him so I have no hate or love for J-Cole.
So his presence on this track did not turn me off it at all.

And this might be blasphemy but I thought he did a great job on it.
But I was confused initially cause his lyrics made me for a split second think he was dissing Benny on his own track haha

I feel like everyone on here has said they like this track, does anyone here dislike it?

I believe I posted that I didn't mean any hate towards the track, because I like it, but it sounded more like a Burden Of Proof track than a TT3 track...which maybe was a dick comment, but in my mind calling the album TT4 had me expecting a different sound. not that Benny, or anyone else, said it was going to sound like TT3, I came to that conclusion on my own. also, I have no idea what TT1 or TT2 sound like so it is certainly wrong for me to put an expectation of sound to a title, but I did. but that doesn't mean I dislike the song

as for Cole, I'm exactly like you. I haven't listened to any of his albums, I don't seek him out but when I hear him he's cool... and I think he did great on this and he and Benny sound great together

I think for people that aren't super deep into Cole, sometimes just letting him come to you is better. He usually does really well on features so imo so you get some less of his quirks.

In the Breakfast Club interview Benny had a comment about how his situations and environments are all different now so the content just isn't going to be the exact same. So my expectations are probably a little closer to this than a true TT3. But I thought this did an ok job of bringing in some beats that are more TT3 sounding (but more polished and less dirty sounding - kinda like Joe Pesci 38) with some of the rapping style of BOP. But I guess we'll see this weekend. I'm extremely excited

I have followed Cole since his early mixtape days and The Warm Up is what really drew me to him. The track Grown Simba is him just spitting heat. Once he released studio albums I didn't feel him as much, but 2014 Forest Hill Drive is a great listen IMO and if there's an album I can truly recommend, it's that. Other than those 2 albums KOD is the next one I kind of fuck with. But if you're interested in giving Cole a chance check out The Warm Up and Forest Hill drive. I was surprised how well he compliments Benny on this track and it definitely put Benny in front of an audience he may have not otherwise been exposed to, which is big for him.

Anyone else order the Lloyd Banks COTI vinyl from TuffKong and have their shipped or delivered? Mine got the exported status on 1/29 and nothing since. Getting a little worried (though I don't do a lot of overseas orders so not sure)

I just wasn't sure as my last one went from that status to landed in like a day. Like I said don't do the international usually besides DRW which is also ridiculous fast usually for some reason for me so wasn't sure the process tbh
