Really hope the "test pressing" aesthetic doesn't become a thing... an open pre-order defeats the purpose of calling it a test pressing
I really like the OG cover that they’re using for CDs, so I’ll wait for a standard pressing.

I know they say the “test pressing” is limited, but the sticker makes me feel like they’re pressing a ton of these.

Fyi, Def Jam just released a remastered pressing of MNIMN for those who missed out on the first drop / hated the sound quality

Remastered 2 weeks after the initial drop? How does that make sense

What do you mean two weeks after the initial drop? I just saw this posted on the vinyl releases subreddit and in the comments, the Def Jam account said the mastering is different on this pressing and they had multiple people in the office compare versions to drill down on it and improve the EQ

Edit: Forgot the first drop was in May and it says remastered in June, dang this year has really been a blur!

The bad press was released May 17. The remastered audio on the site says June 2024. So they turned around a remastering that quick, I guess is my question. Seems rushed. So I'm skeptical.

Yeah didn't notice the date in the page description, my new work's VPN pretty much blocks everything so I posted from my phone. For what it's worth, it probably won't be any worse than the first pressing! (From what I've heard about it at least since that first drop was an utter disaster)

Yeah true, just hoping it's not snake oil and there are actual audible improvements.

Looks like they did confirm on the subreddit that their engineer picked it up almost instantly and began working on it, and they had their audiophile guy listen to it, so that's good news. Obviously, could just be words but we'll find out when it's in the people's hands.

Well I ended up ordering a copy so hopefully I'll be able to report back with good news in November 🤞

It's still only a single LP so we'll see what they were able to do with 23 minutes of music on each side

What are y'all thoughts on the new Tyler album?

Personally, not super impressed after the first listen. At first I was enjoying Tyler reinventing himself with each album, but this one feels like just kinda flat, and there's not much left in that tank. I'd go so far as to say it's boring.

Yeah first listen and I don't know what to think....

Leaning towards this one not being for me but gonna give it more listens to see if anything changes.

I'm thinking this is one that I skip on vinyl. Only song I think id relisten to that fires on...most cylinders for me is "Thought I was dead". Like I appreciate what he's doing, but also I think that means there's certain Tyler eras I'm not going to enjoy.
