Hip Hop

I gave up trying to rank Big and Pac long ago, they are just equal to me. Big was technically the better rapper and storyteller, but Pac's charisma and ability to make you feel what he said was unmatched. They were both great, just in different ways. I think personally I would go 1-Life After Death, 2-Me Against the World, 3-Makaveli, 4-Ready to Die, 5-All Eyez on Me.

What are you guys ranking? 2xCD albums? Seems like that would be a pretty short list. That is too long for a single album. Also, many single CD albums are longer than some that have been listed, like Summertime '06, that's why I'm confused about the criteria.

I remember always parking my car in a hidden little area in a field down the way from my parents house and always playing Hard Times and If I Could Teach The World from Bone Thugs double album while smoking the cheapest ass weed ever
Oh man, you are bringing back some fond memories. Riding around smoking blunts of brick weed, listening to Bone was everything!

I prefer Pac because he has more diverse subject matter and IMO his best beats slap way harder, although Big's two albums are overall better produced/more cohesive.

The beef never dies lol

It started out as just Double albums so yeah 2 x CD but got skewed along the way as always lol

As someone who is really happy with many 2xLPs, I don't know if any albums that are long enough to need to be on 2 CDs wouldn't be improved by cutting some tracks, but 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time is a pretty good one, even if it only missed 1 CD by 10 or 15 minutes.

I think the Staples album is great, but it has an unfair advantage of being an artistic decision as opposed to not fitting on a single disc.

Hard to argue with your trimming logic its very true. Staples isn't a double length feature to me in the same breath as Life After Death or AEOM. Its too short so yes its an unfair advantage and I'm a massive Vince Staples fan
