they just feel like a completely different band and I stand by my thoughts on them changing their name to something new.I was a harsher on it yesterday on first listen, my feelings have upgraded to apathy.
People listen to Panic! At the Disco? For like enjoyment?
Death of a Bachelor was the Rhino album of the day. If one song came on the radio, I’d be okay with it. Having never listened to an entire album before, it was a LOT. On the bright side, it provided a skosh of appreciation for My Chemical Romance. When I first started getting into new music back in 2011-2013 they were one of the first bands I got REALLY into. That lasted until 2016 and I just stopped enjoying them. I still have a lot of nostalgia for them and do enjoy their first two albums though I admit they aren’t that good
Had I been 15 instead of 30 they likely woulda spoke to my overly sincere young heart. As someone in my 30s they weren’t my cup of tea, nor was I their target demographic.Death of a Bachelor was the Rhino album of the day. If one song came on the radio, I’d be okay with it. It was a background listen over breakfast…. Wasn’t studying the poetry of their lyrics. This was a reaction to the sound.Had I been 15 instead of 30 they likely woulda spoke to my overly sincere young heart. As someone in my 30s they weren’t my cup of tea, nor was I their target demographic.
Sound like band band that listened to a lot of Queen, Beatles, and Weezer records. It was a background listen over breakfast…. Wasn’t studying the poetry of their lyrics. This was a reaction to the sound.
But wanted to be Mars Volta? It was a very unpleasant noise.Sound like band band that listened to a lot of Queen, Beatles, and Weezer records.
