Same shit paper sleeves. It’s actually not a bad sounding master. I bought the standard OKNOTOK first and then about a year later broke and got the box. When I saw the wank paper inners I just put the records from my standard into the box and PIFed the standard with the records from the box. That one didn’t even grate the ocd, the press and labels and everything was identical
 
All this reading about the IR Boxset made me want to go listen to mine again.


And damn, I really love the sound coming off these things. I can't even describe it. I'm really hoping for something like this or Anima level of sound quality for the upcoming (rumored) KIDA/amnesiac editions.😍

I bought the white pressing and the box set and ended up selling the white one. But both are pretty similar in sound quality. I was expecting the AMSP box set versions to blow me away and they don’t. They’re fine. But I felt they could be better. The big art book is great though.

oh yeah that Kid A reissue thing is supposed to happen this year, right? A double set of it and Amnesiac would be great, even though I own those already on 10”. But I feel they could step up that quality so much it’ll be worth the probably hefty price tag.
 
Well I managed to get through side 2 of In Rainbows box today and I do have a little right channel crackle "whoosh" in the first and second song break (in between tracks) of Side 2 that continues into the opening couple seconds of All I Need and Faust Arp but then vanishes. I'm guessing this is a VERY minor version of the whooshing people were talking about. Its minor enough that I'm not going to worry about it as I had it absolutely cranked, and the opening of Faust Arp actually has some kinda right channel room tone/fuzz on the original recording anyhow so it's not really very noticeable. But yeah, I'm guessing this is a minor version of that issue that people had reported...

Found a guy last night selling a heavyweight Parlaphone OK Computer for $55 AUD. That’s about $36 USD or $33 euro or $28 pounds for those playing along.

The photos of the vinyl and inner sleeves looked really nice and the jacket had minor damage which is understandable considering its 23 years old.

His ad had been up for less than an hour so I sent a message to him and got no response until this morning. He had replied that it had been sold already but he had other albums (not Radiohead) that he was selling and if I wanted to know before he posted he would give me a heads up.

I responded that I was collecting the Parlaphone releases and that I was bummed on missing out to which he replied he got about 10 requests in 10 mins and that he must have got the price wrong.

I said that I wasn’t surprised as his asking price was really low, a Discogs copy was much more expensive and that I would have paid more than he was asking for his copy.

So I did.

The original buyer still hadn't paid up so he sold it to me.

Watching too many American Pickers episodes has made me an honest buyer.
 
So I just bought a white pressing of A Moon Shaped Pool, but obviously came black. What's the easy way to identify the Optimal Pressing from the other one?

look in the runout groove. If it is the optimal part of it will read BG32644. If it’s the Rainbo side a will contain S-97733. There is no other way, the sleeve are identical, as is the rest of the run out groove info.
