I wonder if any of VMP FOMO stuff is worth anything 🤔 tho I probably have PIFed most of that by now... and I was not wise when I was a VMP member, as I actually used my membership to get stuff that I wanted 🤪 imagine that!

I kidded myself into the fallacy that the classics were good. They almost entirely aren’t. There is such a ridiculous over hyping of that track, it’s almost universally poor. That said that fallacy means they sell for absurd prices on cogs. Also towards the end there were months I wanted nothing and just picked the least shit option.

You're a blue grill kind of guy? No orange for you? My dad has been eyeing these speakers up since they were released. Not sure why he doesn't just buy them if he wants them. He is retired and has the money. Relatively affordable as far as speakers go to.

I love both the Blue and the Orange. But with my setup and the prevalence of a lot of orange tinged teak already in the room, the orange would work however it would blend in a little, the blue would pop and just, oh man they would look so good...

But I found out you can actually buy extra grills. So I could buy both however the extra grills are FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.

Theres a definite jump from entry gear to the early nice stuff that for me made everything sound much better without going that way. Im almost set where I am though I wouldn’t want to jump too much more in case it became too analytical and I spend my life constantly adjusting small variables in an increasingly frantic pursuit of perfection.

Hahaha! I’d expect given the design that they’d have a focus on the lower mids and would dig deep and so yes be warmer. But yeah I was teasing so the last line was the fair response that I deserved!

My vote is for Blue given that set up. Standard black would be nice design-wise as well

I used to have a copy of Pablo Honey, but I've shook off that "completionist" tick so into the store credit pile it went. I also have some random promo posters and stuff for various releases stored away. When I start work on my office/record room I'll probably get the good conditioned ones framed and hung.

I had an old roommate who went to London during the release of Amnesiac and he ripped off a huge 10ft subway advert off the wall. he's still got it sitting in his studio, its rad looking.

If you love in rainbows..my suggestion is track down the 45 rpm box set...it’s sound is superior

That's definitely one I remember regretting not just buying (despite being broke) when it first came out. I did have an original (TBD) single disc edition for awhile, but always sounded kinda cruddy. Then someone gifted me the XL remaster for a birthday so I swapped it out. If I do ever find a 45 version at a reasonable price I probably would swap again.
