Immerse Your Soul In Love - The Radiohead Thread

The songs from this sound interesting. But maybe just work on another Radiohead album?
Yeah, I agree.

All this side project shit has largely been mediocre with a few gems sprinkled in.
I feel like at the point that it's been nearly 9 years since the last album with not much word on a new one we should probably be realistic and realize that for these guys Radiohead is the side project. I mean obviously none of us know for sure what all of the individual members thoughts on the band are at this point, but at least for Thom and Jonny, I get the sense they're just as happy to be recording solo projects and composing film scores as they would be making new Radiohead music. When they formed an entirely new band to record music without the pressure and expectations of having to be "Radiohead", that was when I realized I probably shouldn't hold my breath waiting for the full band to come back together again.

To be clear I'm not saying that I think Radiohead is done forever or anything but it just doesn't seem to be the primary concern for them right now and frankly I don't want an album from them made under that mindset. If we're going to get a tenth RH record I'm fine waiting until they feel like they can deliver something that lives up to their previous work. And if in the meantime they continue to put out the music they want to make for us to hear then

Yes and they’ve earned that and the ability to follow their artistic muse. As much as I’d like another Radiohead album that’s for them to decide, fan entitlement does bug me.

A friend of mine who is a very big fan is with someone who works for W.A.S.T.E. and they told me there will not be more Radiohead music but they will tour again at some point.

I can’t see anything in the short to medium term to be honest but long term I doubt they even know themselves, Its long been rumoured that as five good friends they still get together at least once a year to rehearse and jam and there’s no telling what that could spark one day but for now it seems all of them are finding their artistic fulfilment elsewhere.
