It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Richy getting hurt and some key players (Kulu, Son, etc) going the full 90 means it's likely an uglier result at VIlla Park.

Disappointing how bad injuries have derailed this season. Hoping that we can get healthy and give Europa a proper run.

that's the FA cup already this weekend? if we win we win, but I'd rather consolidate the league performance to reach safety and focus on Europa League. Going out of both cups in quick succession, if it happens, I won't be too upset.

Yeah, and while people will say what they wanna say about Tamworth, our cup oppnents so far have been:

United, City, Liverpool (2x), Villa, Tamworth. That's an insane amount of bad luck on top of an already disasterous season selection-wise.

Really hope we can get a spirited win at VIlla, just don't see it. I don't doubt the ability of who we can field, but it's been so evident the last couple weeks they just don't have jack shit to give. We're probably losing every game until we start getting players back.

The annoying thing about this is it all started when someone asked him the question on expectations for the upcoming season, and he said something to the effect of, "First season is about setting the principles, usually I win something in my second season" then the press kept hammering that question home until they got "I always win something in my second season." It was such an innocuous comment that got battered into some stupid meme.

I understand the modern game fandom is all about banter and that Spurs will always be the target, but even through the noise I still find it absurd the expectations people are putting on this Spurs squad. A quick "guess" of what a parallel injury crisis would look like for Liverpool:

Gakpo, Diaz, Nunez, VVD, Konate, Robertson, Quansah, Alison, Jota

It's a season that went to shit, it's time to just buckle up and grind it out and hope we can make a good run at Europa. Summer will come and then we reset.

Need to start only betting Spurs Liverpool matches....The one in December I hit both tickets and then hit again yesterday calling the goal scorers almost in order too lol

Counting the days until a Vicario return
we weren’t amazing earlier when he was in the team, like 7th~. But when he was injured our horrendous form began. We definitely miss his presence in defense. I don’t think Forster/Austin have been terrible but Vic brings more security for our defenders.
