It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

The ref in this Town match is JACKED

Mansfield is where I grew up. It’s been a long time since I was last in field mill…

There is also a reason why the cameras are on that side of the pitch. There’s no useable stand, it was condemned a few years ago, is boarded up and they’ve only just got planning to replace it.

The side with all the advertisements?

So after the last season game yesterday, Robert Lewandowski announced that he wants to leave Bayern. He has one year of contact legt, so they might sell him now
I don’t like this decision. He’s won everything at Bayern maybe not winning the balon d’or has him thinking he needs to move to a more competitive team/league to have another run at it again? Idk. I wanted to see him have a crack at the Müller record.

First I thought it would be crazy to see Everton down, then they got better. Then it seemed like Leeds are sabotaging themselves and are absolutely down. But then you play Burnley and think “fuck that. I hope they go down.”

On the EFL playoff side, Luton Town and Huddersfield are tied 1-1 going into tomorrow's match. Nottingham Forest have a 2-1 advantage on Sheffield United with their match on Tuesday. I'd love to see Luton Town go up. If not them, I hope Forest get promoted. For U.S. folk, ESPN+ will carry both matches.

Ah it's all moot when we lose or draw Southampton on Tuesday. We'll see how much the FA Cup took out of the squad. I'm going into this just happy we have the Final to look forward to. If City falters, it's gravy. But we had our chances. Lots of draws that could've made the difference. Regardless, it was a magical season and things look very bright with Diaz in the lineup.

My coworker who is a die hard Liverpool fan has been saying for weeks that Gerrard was going to spoil the season for City at the end. Couple wins and a City draw in the finale would be crazy but not impossible
