It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Fulham top 5 after 5 is awesome! I love this season so far. Nothing is as predictable as it has been in the last few years!!!

Also how bout Brentford at the death!!!!??

Or the Pep rotation to make sure he plays all CL games kicks in! 😎

I don’t think it will matter. He’s physically a monster. He’s patient enough to keep on making the runs when he doesn’t get the ball and his finishing is scary. He could be the first to end up with Ronaldo or Messi numbers in the premier league.

If Aguero ever played a consistently injury-free season under Pep he'd have 40 goal seasons. All they need is a body up front and they'd score goals. Unfortunately they have a very good goal-scoring body in Haaland...

I don’t think it’s that simple because that type of forward generally fails in a pep team. Even Aguero had to adapt and come to the ball a lot more that he would previously have done. The boy is just a bit of a freakish monster from what I’m seeing so far.

I mean I hate that they don’t count the old division one days, so yes. If we’re talking that then it’s Dixie Dean for Everton with 60 in a league season. In the premier league era it’s either Andy Cole and Alan Shearer with 34 in a 42 game season or Salah with 32 since it dropped to a 38 game season.
