I mean even before that Liverpool had to choose between which of Mane and Salah got their biggest ever contract at £350k a week. There is no way in hell that they can afford to give Mbappe £1m a week!

Add to that the increasing likelihood that we won't even make Europa at the rate we're falling which will make the budget get even tighter.

how and when would Klopp get sacked or leave? I feel like he has a massive, massive, leash. I also can't see him getting sacked, rather him deciding to leave instead because of the transfer/injuries/general frustrations

I think he’s earned the right to not have that question asked. We’re talking absolute disasters or multiple seasons of stagnation. I think he’d walk before the latter given the type of character he is, the frustration would overcome him.
