It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Changing formation and getting Silva in his proper spot changed everything. Partey not being on forces Saliba and Gabriel to handle the ball too much which led to mistakes too

Yeah I agree. Also having someone who can defend against Saka rather than an attack minded midfielder/inverted winger!

You played some really top quality stuff for about 40 minutes there. Just lacked a bit of a cutting edge tonight.

In light of our trip to Barcelona tomorrow. Which Scottish side has the following record against Barcelona in Europe?

P4 W4 D0 L0

Magic Marcus! A goal and an assist!

We’ve played really well. The amount of times I’ve seen us sit in at the Nou Camp and Bernabau and try and count on the break or winning at home. This is the first time since 99 and the 3-3 we’ve had a proper go at them and they’re really vulnerable to the ball in behind.

Rashford, try not to score in every single game

Well that’s utterly gutting. Giving away a stupid goal by overplaying out from the back.

Think it needs to be Garnacho time.

Rashford had been an absolute menace tonight. Such a complete performance.

Are you still going to support them if this goes through?

I mean you don’t change your club, ever. But it’s not going to help the enthusiasm. The whole thing just makes me sad. In all honesty beyond just watching my team I find there is very little to like about the modern game.

Tomorrow is the deadline for all bids so just got to hope Sir Jim Ratcliffe becomes the preferred bidder.
