Injuries. Cruciate can be killer for pace and he’s had 3 now I think? Certainly 2. Also he was really well protected by a midfield that’s both grown old together and not had departures adequately replaced.

Liverpool go out and buy two real hard, physical runners in midfield of the right age profile and I’m confident he’ll end up looking something like again.
