It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Bournmouth go above Chelsea if they beat them at the weekend…

Edit: Also if they don’t pick up points against Bournmouth and Forest they are on 39 points, 40 being the historic magic mark for not being relegated, with a last three of twice away in Manchester and Newcastle at home.

Leeds survived on 38 last season I think everyone else below them are also really bad that they’re probably safe

Yeah I agree. It’s going to be lower this year, could be lower than that Leeds again because I think it’s 2 out of the Leeds Leicester Forest Everton 4 and none will pick up that many points. I personally hope that Forest and Everton survive.

But still there’s a very real possibility that a top level club could finish with a points tally that would get you relegated in the majority of seasons. They could even finish as low as 16/17. That’s shocking. Can’t all be pinned on mangers and owners either. Players have seriously let themselves down.

Yeah I agree. I think they all just stopped caring and it’s hard to be motivated when results keep getting worse. Plus players like Aubameyang, who makes 160k pw apparently have been in and out of the team, with no set formation or lineup that can gel and work together. There’s too many players and not everyone can be happy so no one is really happy. The defending on the 3 Arsenal goals today was absolutely woeful. League 2 level or worse.
