Eriksen has been very good so far knitting the play together but I think now we need to sacrifice that for some grit.

Copenhagen have been shocking. Utterly shocking.

And the referee has handed them a red card and a penalty. Ball hit Maguire above the t shirt line from like a yard away.

It’s a good job someone as temperamental as me isn’t a player. I’d end up walking off or nutting the ref.

yeah this is straight up robbery. Both decisions extremely soft.

The annoying this is we’ve been shit all season and most matches you throw your hands up and go “does it matter all that much.”

And then we play well for only the second time this season and that happens.

both calls way too similar to the City penalty too. You probably still lose that City match but that was one of the softest pens I've ever seen. In this game, I thought the calls for handball when the ball is coming off a player/changing direction so close to the offending player were meant to be taken into consideration.

It’s so high up his arm too. Didn’t there used to be a thing about above the t shirt line? Because that definitely hit his sleeve.

I think both decisions tonight are referees knowing the rules but not understanding the game. In the grand scheme of things footballing refereeing is irrelevant but man there’s so much money around the game that you’d think people in the administration of the game would be demanding better

It isn’t but it has to be.

Also Copenhagen player hits Hojland off the ball on a yellow and is still on. Again I don’t think it is but the ref has set a really low bar.
 
We’ve controlled the ball well with 10. Haven’t looked dangerous but controlled the ball. Hopefully we can continue that. I’d bring on Mount for Garnacho now too.
