Probably the best place for this, but the Aussie Rules season starts tonight, with my team, Melbourne, taking on the Sydney Swans.

Going to be an interesting season: Collingwood (the Rangers of AFL) are looking for a back-to-back championship, but are up against a bunch of good teams in Brisbane, us, Sydney, and @Mather ‘s Carlton (the Celtic of AFL).

In typical fashion, our pre-season has been hit by incident. One of our star players had to retire due to multiple concussions, another one has had mental health issues, and another player has been banned for taking and potentially dealing drugs.

The mullets are still there. Always the mullets.
