It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

NBC talking about how inconsistent Spurs are. Six wins in a row at home, 9 wins in 11 in all comps. Lazy reporting.
Their coverage has gotten worse. Right after the game Lowe said it was 1-1 at half time…. It was 1-0 at HT. They used to be decent at punditry but now it’s just bad.

Was telling my gf's son at the start of the Spurs match that I thought Solanke was about to go on a scoring run. Never thought he'd get two today!

Also, for the announcers questioning Son coming out didn't they realize he's coming off an injury?

I am really wondering how this season would look so far if we signed Gyokores January window last season as planned. He just put on a clinic v City

The Slot or Xabi should be the Liverpool manager argument is certainly going in Slot's favor so far.
I love Ange, but how well he's doing at Liverpool has me a little jealous he turned us down last summer. The rumor going around was that the club told him that they planned on selling Kane and he didn't want to have to deal with that fallout afterwards. Can't blame him and it seemed to work out for everyone.

His style is just so calm. I've actually found myself not getting worked up when we get down 0-1 to a team. He's so steady. It's not the frantic pace of Klopp which was exciting but could be a double edged sword when we'd get caught on the counter. His defense is so tight. To have clean sheet with Tsimikas and a diminished Andy Robertson is amazing. And we're doing well with a backup goalie who really needs to get his full time chance after this season. I'm of course waiting for the slip to happen, since it always does but it's been a fun ride so far.
