I’m kinda not surprised in a lot of ways but the timing does seem off. The press earlier in the week was they were looking at Potter but with him at West Ham now there doesn’t seem an obvious replacement.

I think Dyche would probably keep them up but I’m guessing with the new owners and the new stadium they are probably looking for more than that even though given their squad that’s not a certainty and it’s a gamble. That said they may just stay up by default anyway given how poor 3 or 4 of the teams have been. He also has bought really poorly. All of his signings have been squad players, not one regularly makes the starting 11, he’s most relying on what was there when he took over.
 
Ashley Young's son, who plays for Peterborough, who Everton faced this evening, was not subbed on. This could have been an instance of a father and son on the pitch at the same time. Peterborough deserve the loss for that bonehead decision. Give the kid the injury time at least ffs.

I think Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Philips were on the pitch once together. I can’t think of many others.
