It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Would an ownership change benefit Leicester?

How? They have extremely wealthy and generous owners without whom they’d likely still be floating aimlessly in the championship or below. I think they were third tier when they came in. PSR nonsense rules mean that you can’t do an Abramovich or City anymore.
They also might have points deduction coming their way soon.... 😳

I just don't think they've done well during the last few windows. Maybe my complaint shouldn't be about ownership. Sometimes I am impatient!

Wasn't it announced that there would be no charges?

They managed to win an argument that because one of the years was in the championship that the PL couldn’t include it I they calculations. They successfully argued the opposite to get out of Football League charges last year. The Premier League have challenged that interpretation and it’s gone to an arbitration panel for a final decision from what I understand.

Weird season. This'll be 6 losses in our last 8 PL games. That Liverpool match in the EFL cup really changed the perspective for Ange. The league is finished right now. As long as Spurs don't get relegated who cares. However, 1-0 lead going into Anfield is not safe. Kinksy has been a short revelation, but is not immune to some of Spurs' shortfalls as we've seen today. Some fans have Spurs in the cup final already which is majorly counting chickens before they hatch. EFL Cup + not relegated is a 10/10 season IMO. But I worry Liverpool turn over the scoreline at home and/or Newcastle with the form they're in beat us in the final anyways.
