Only if you believe it .
FOMO is real sometimes.

His work is pretty awesome and you can stream a lot of it online. Gilles Peterson is a huge fan and the label is also awesome. People were talking about that record on here a few pages back.Cause it’s pretty :3.
I suppose this is probably the best option though lol. FOMO is real sometimes.
For me, the one track sold me immediately. I do feel you about being on the fence about it, though. I'm still on the fence about the Jeff Parker album even with two tracks available to listen to now. I mean, it's good, but sampling, midi, and that kind of stuff is a hard sell for me and idk how much I'd actually reach to put it on 6 months from now.To Cy & Lee: Instrumentals Vol. 1, by Alabaster DePlume really on the fence about pre-ordering the limited edition here. On one hand the one track available is fucking BEAUTIFUL but on the other hand I’m not familiar with the artist at all but the description for album has really peaked my interest. What’s the verdict on this Alabaster DePlume fellow? Is this sure to be worth the money?
This might be of interest to some of you. I picked up this sealed record for £15 the other week on a whim. Never heard it before but it says it is a limited pressing (hand numbered with 500 copies) of a rare spiritual jazz record. These were originally pressing with hand written labels and sold at their live shows. Its a fantastic record, really great stuff.
"A fascinating hybrid of early 60's Coltrane, early 70's Miles Davis, and Ravi Shankar. This album was a very limited press that was handed out at their shows and sold to local stores. Only together for nine months, Mike Selesia and band recorded this album in one day while high on weed and opium laced tootsie rolls."

Some really nice pieces on this one. The variety of styles gives it a compilation feel. You can definitely hear the chemical “inspiration” on the Castle Spook tracks .thanks for sharingThis might be of interest to some of you. My Uber driver recommended them to me last night, been listening lately, really dig itHave just seen that Alfa Mist - Structuralism is going for £14.99 as a sale item on Sister Ray. Great album and worth picking up at that price if you enjoy his other projects. Not sure what the shipping is like for International...
Sounds like the coolest Uber driver ever!My Uber driver recommended them to me last night, been listening lately, really dig it
This is fantastic news, thanks for sharing. I once skipped an OG at £110 but regretted it afterwards because I never thought I’d see a reissue. Over the moon, cheers.
Expanded reissue of this incredible duo session. Looks like the Ali family is involved too, so it is legit. If I recall correctly the OG is often $200 or so and this reissue has even more material on it.

First Time Out: Live at Slugs 1967, by Rashied Ali Quintet
I was going to order both a few nights ago but im hoping for a UK supplier to have them. Quite pricey otherwise
That was my hope. I messaged the label through bandcamp to ask if they will have any UK or European distributors so I will let you know if I hear back.I'd not seen either, so cheers. Yeah, both a bit steep, hoping at least Juno might stock these, hella pricey with shipping otherwise.

The Search for Roy DuNann
I don't remember the year, but I remember the moment when I first became intensely curious about Roy DuNann. It must have been about 1975, right after I moved to Seattle. I bought a Sonny Rollins LP called Way Out West, took it home, cued it up on my Thorens turntable, dropped the tonearm, and...www.stereophile.com
Been listening to quite a few records engineered by Roy DuNann and I have to say...he gives RVG a run for his money!
