Thanks @Andy - I felt inspired by your post and ordered a copy of this and the Jothan Callins & The Sounds Of Togetherness due later this month as a birthday present to myself.
Happy Birthday!

It sounds different, not necessarily better. The PP has far greater clarity. And it cannot possibly be a needle drop, not only would Ray Staff and AIR Studios not do such a thing, needle drops are easy to hear.I forgot about that write up. I read it last year and now remember how much I love the inscription inside that OG. I’d want it just for that. Regardless of what he says about the superior sound of the OG, he’s clearly happy w/ the sound of PP. It’s not as good as a $500 ultra-rare original.
Very cool stuff! I go on Reddit but I'm not active, I will definitely check it out though, sounds great!hey everybody! i am one of the moderators of a jazz vinyl subreddit and wanted to give you all a heads up that the team at Craft has agreed to do an AMA with us! i'll keep you all posted on when it may occur, but thought y'all would like to know.
tentatively, it will be March 8 as they are saying they have a big announcement that day. @Selaws this may interest you! not sure if you're on reddit or not...
if anybody is not on reddit, would be happy to ask any questions you may have for craft about jazz vinyl!
I‘m in that subreddit but haven’t paid attention in a long time. I’ll start now! Pls keep us posted about this. Cool idea and great that you got Craft to do this.tentatively, it will be March 8 as they are saying they have a big announcement that day. @Selaws this may interest you! not sure if you're on reddit or not...
No sub, If someone could take notes and post bullet points its appreciated.hey everybody! i am one of the moderators of a jazz vinyl subreddit and wanted to give you all a heads up that the team at Craft has agreed to do an AMA with us! i'll keep you all posted on when it may occur, but thought y'all would like to know.

They said they are “busy working on lots of exciting projects” and March 8 should be a big announcement to coincide with their AMA. Hopefully it’s announcing a contemporary records full series. Will try to find out those questions and see if they can answer about any other upcoming projects! No sub, If someone could take notes and post bullet points its appreciated.
I guess I would to know:
-What's next (hopefully Art Pepper) ?
-Who is cutting ?
-If they will be doing albums sets like the Ornette
-If this is separate or in conjunction with Chad
Seems like we've been waiting quite a while to hear about their next small-batch release.@Selaws and @Portland Sheriff — will let you know when I have some more details. was very cool of them to say they are down to do it! I had messaged them a few weeks ago since they have an account on Reddit that posts new releases. They have shared some things on there like photos of the Coltrane test pressing. I believe they posted pics of Yusef Lateef being pressed on Reddit when the title hadn’t been announced officially too.
I’m pretty hands off with the moderation of the sub but it’s a surprisingly easy-going sub with mostly positive people. A lot of people posting fresh grabs, posting recommendations and albums I’ve never heard of but enjoy checking out.
Curious to hear what the big announcement is and how open they will be about other projects in the pipeline. I wanna ask them about some of the lesser known labels that Craft owns the rights to like Muse.
I see this is in stock now at PP - do you know if their albums pop up anywhere located in the US? Shipping plus the cost of the album/exchange rate make this a pricey one.Pure Pleasure is teasing a forthcoming repress of Clifford Jordan’s Glass Bead Games. I’ve mentioned this album here before, but I think it’s worth noting again that this album and press are excellent.
In my utterly humble opinion (when it comes to jazz), this would be an all-time classic if it had been released by BN in the 60s instead of Strata East in the 70s. Two lineups across four sides: Quartet I: Jordan/Stanley Cowell/Billy Higgins/Bill Lee; Quartet II: Jordan/Cedar Walton/Sam Jones/Billy Higgins
Probably not AAA, but it sounds fantastic. Currently, for N. America N&G crew, the cheapest copy is $80 shipped to the U.S., so this should a good chance to pick it up depending on PP’s pricing for a double LP.

JPC.de is cheapest usually for pure pleasure or speakers corner, even with shipping to the US. Their prices include VAT, so when you add to cart and say you’re in the US you’ll see the VAT taken off. Shipping is super reasonable. Every time I’ve ordered Speakers corner or Pure Pleasure they beat the price of any US store I’ve found. It seems to be $45 shipped via JPCI see this is in stock now at PP - do you know if their albums pop up anywhere located in the US? Thanks for the recommendation!
I’ll try to ask about some specific titles (or at least if Savoy/Sun Ra might get some high quality/mono reissues)! Not sure if they will go into tons of details about specific titles or not. It’ll be interesting to see how forthcoming they will be about stuff like that.I'd love to know if there is any possibility of quality original mono reissues of The Futuristic Sounds of Sun Ra and/or The Hawk Returns coming into the world at some point.
EDIT TO ADD: Also/and/or reissues of Paul Bley's Turns or Phil Upchurch's Feeling Blue.
Agree with @MikeH. Comes to 40.52 Euros, shipped, from jpc.de. You're not likely to beat that buying from anywhere else outside the US (and they sometimes do better than inside the US as well).I see this is in stock now at PP - do you know if their albums pop up anywhere located in the US? For reference, comeback vinyl has it listed for $61 and that’s before tax and shipping.Agree with @MikeH. Comes to 40.52 Euros, shipped, from jpc.de. You're not likely to beat that buying from anywhere else outside the US (and they sometimes do better than inside the US as well).

Other folks gave helpful input. Less helpful is that I found mine last April online from Guestroom Records Louisville for $45+$5 shipping.I see this is in stock now at PP - do you know if their albums pop up anywhere located in the US? But I remember that was the result of a pretty extensive search. At that time, it wasn’t easy to find other than Discogs sellers in Europe.
My 2006 japaneese digital remaster is a "bit" underwelming sonically. Would love to get an affordable copy of this on vinyl but not hopeful.Another vote for Glass Bead Games , really good stuff . There is a live Clifford Jordan -Night Of The Mark VII that's a winner too !
