Fiona Apple - Extraordinary Machine (2005)



Oh you silly, stupid past time of mine, you were always good for rhyme, here is coming a better version of me. This is not about love, I'm an extraordinary machine. Oh well.

I, for one, need more tango. Specially these modern takes. I only have my dad's old tango records.

I think the best projects of this "electronic tango" thing (I HATE that name) are Bajofondo and Gotan Project. Bajofondo sound more... respectful. I don't know if it makes sense.
I REAAAAAALLY recommend you to check Orquesta Los Crayones and Orquesta Fernandez Fierro. Those two are the best orchestras of contemporary tango.

It's crazy how fast time is flying by these days, thanks to everyone who participated these past 30days, it's been a blast following along and watching your story unfold.

I'm on a isolation vacation until the 3rd, at which time I'll be updating the spreadsheet and then doing the drawings on the 4th, so for those of y'all who need some time to catch up you've got until at least the 3rd to do so.

With all that's going on in the world from the pandemic to the civil rights protests, I just want to say thanks for taking at least an hour out of your day to spin some vinyl and connect to music.


Music is power, but without a community, it goes silent.

Sometimes when the party is over and everyone goes home and all you're left with is your thoughts you really start to miss everyone

This was a super hard theme. The albums I first thought of were ones I didnt own (both of fun.'s albums) but while flipping through i saw this and it just clicked!

Will Toledo is such a huge inspiration to me, i really connect with him, his lyrics and how he explores his anxieties on his albums
