Klipsch Speakers Thread

They look like nice speakers that have been adjusted visually to appeal to 20 year old douchebags.

It's kind of crazy the industry is going in two directions.

Mono blocks on one side with bi-amp, tri-amp and active crossover one another side. I'm loving the bi-amp with SS plus tube amps.

An active crossover would be next level to squeeze performance out of the speaker.

It's interesting Klipsch went this direction. I think it sends a message to other speaker mfgs.

Active crossovers were always a good thing sonically, but most manufacturers have had a hard time selling consumers on them outside of active speaker designs. Pro audio was more amenable.

I've only heard feedback about how much better active is over passive. This will be a good test for the consumer market. However small the market for $15-$20k speakers is anyway. Klipsch is a brand that has enough strength to make it work.

Time-alignment ain’t no joke
The one thing that seems difficult to pin down is amp gain.
It's not in the specs for most amps.
Therefore it comes down to math. Stupid, silly math for most to bother with...
I think my two amps are within a dB or two but it's difficult to know for sure.
There are some assumptions baked in.
