Oh baby, basement reno work starts up again tomorrow and these puppies are gunna get mounted down there soon soon soon. Two Revel M10s (top pic) and two Revel M8s in white (middle pic), along with two C383s in the ceiling, a C25 centre and a B10 sub (bottom pic). GIGGITY.

A few updates from earlier this year.

Added Primaluna Evo 400, Manley Chinook phono preamp, Schiit Modi 3 + Google Chromecast Audio, Rega Neo PSU, and Nagaoka JN-P200 stylus. Really no itch to upgrade from here, maybe KT150 tubes at some point. The sound stage, imaging, and dynamics are exactly what I was after. Could not be happier.

How are you finding the Nagaoka with the P3?
Was looking at the map 150 or 200 once my Exact goes.😎

Beautiful! Any thoughts you can share re the Chinook and what it brings to the party? Looks like you have the Upscale Audio version. I'm eyeballing used ones at the moment...

Yup good eye. I've only had it about 2 weeks, so its still breaking in. In the last year I have auditioned Sutherland 20/20, insight, and Parasound JC 3+. All great preamps in their own right. The Chinook seemed to pair nicely with the Primaluna vs the others I listened too. I wanted to stay tubes. It is tonally exquisite, lush vocals, dead silent, and bass slam for days.

This is probably endgame for me. I can't see another preamp outperforming it until you step up into stupid money. I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on it.

Excellent! Glad you've already had some time with Sutherland too, as that's the other avenue Ive considered as well. I also like the idea of sticking with tubes. Thanks for the feedback. Time to start fishing!

I like your system. The Chinook is a legend and still performs!
Of course I am biased when it comes to your speakers the R11’s( the younger brother to my Ref 5’s) we are in the same family Kef :)
