I've been running mine at 64db and it doesn't feel too loud. I might put it at 58db when I swap it back in for the Grado, but it never approached feeling overdriven.
 
Will be great to hear @HiFi Guy ’s thoughts on the Darlington. Anyone using the Hagerman Cornet tube unit or Graham Slee or Communicator by any chance ? Those two are on my list.

New speakers are up and running, so felt like a good time to snap a few new pics of the setup. Very happy with how everything is coming together after adding the speakers today, new preamp a few months ago, and the turntable just over a year ago.

Just want to say that the dealings with Darlington Labs has been pretty great. Had a couple questions and a request, and they took care of both easily. Then was kinda waiting for the thing to get shipped out as the label was printed last week, and they obviously noticed and just sent me a $15 refund for the delay without requesting it. Hoping the equipment is as good as the service!

Very good so far. Had a busy work day yesterday so after setting them up I only had a chance to spin a couple records, but the soundstage is already very impressive. Everything just sounds so clean and clear. My placement is pretty close to the wall so I have the port plugs they provided in for now but will probably play around with that and see which sound I prefer.
