I wonder if the colour of the dye used for the foam affects the sound? Bet blue is less conducive to airflow.

Finally got a working turntable in this Chicago apartment. My Rega 2 got junked up in the move from LA in January, and it took forever to figure out what was going on. In the meantime, I got impatient and preordered a Technics 1500 from my dad's old shop (and then sold the Rega last week).

Kallax = 5 1/2 cubes of rock. 1/2 cube of jazz. 2 cubes of hip-hop. Other storage = electronic & pop on the bottom (+ stuff I'm gonna sell). Warped VMP and cat up top. Guru usually goes where cat is.

Side note, what do you guys do to back your kallax? The is my first one and I'm already tired of records accidentally getting jammed into the back and / or uneven alignment.
