Loves Vinyl - The Record Club from Dublin Vinyl Pressing Plant

The website still claims "A CLASSIC ALBUM PRESSED BY DUBLIN VINYL" but we've seen it was not the case recently with blondie and Metallica :(

@LovesVinyl anyone around who can give us an honest answer about those pressings?

I don’t think you’ll get anything on here, you’ll have to mail them, that account hasn’t been utilised since they first came on here back in July.
 
I think my position is that I’m happier with this month that I have been for a while. Looking forward to Lisa O’Neill. If they keep giving me nice, often signed (and this time colour) presses of local artists that are interesting I’ll be happy. I’m willing to give them a bit of leeway because they introduced me to my favourite new discovery this year, Anna Meike.

I wasn’t so happy the two months where there were no local artists and it seemed to be a bigger artist collection building exercise.
 
I'm not tempted by Fleetwood Mac nor Frost, but I'll check Lisa O'Neil to see if that's worth keeping my sub.

Also I've checked other webpages, and it doesn't mention "pressed by us" for FM so that's likely the same as on Amazon.

But again if you all want great curation come over the the light side, it’s all about the N&G AoTM, join in the fun (and nonsense)!
 
Think that’s me out ... I’ll cancel my subs once get this months parcel as not interested in anything at the moment, plus the records are taking an age to arrive
 
Had to cancel, they are increasing prices in 6 months and that Fleetwood Mac white vinyl is £15 everywhere else ... might rejoin if they sort out Bell X1 mind ..and still not had the one album I brought on the store or my latest subs

The October ones were only due to post the end of this week so you shouldn’t have had them yet. The store one is worrying though!

Yep , was supposed to be in the forever delayed Metallica box to save postage costs, which ironically I’ve still paid ! But not had the record yet , used some credit when they messed up my initial subscription offer ..have to say it’s been a mess start to finish .. going to be checking my card statement closely
 
Is there a Darren smith on here? They delivered to me (my neighbour actually but my address) 3 vinyl by mistake, metallica, test press and a vol# press, I opened it thinking it was something else for me but I knew soon as I saw metallica it ain't. I'm going to drop it into the factory in glasnevin hopefully tmrw
 
I've already got these singles which differ and sound more raw than the album version but nice to have them compiled on a 12" plus 2 new tracks too

Also a bit of a bizarre update so....
I went to find Dublin Vinyl/Loves Vinyl this morning and return the mistaken package they sent me, took me forever to find the building listed on the Dublin Vinyl website in Glasnevin.
Eventually found it and it was closed. It looked derelict too tbh.
So I called Lovesvinyl and the girl on the phone was extremely nice but had zero idea about this building in Glasnevin I mentioned as "We are based in balbriggan"
I explained I was trying to return a package mistakenly sent to me and she was really thankful about me doing that and how "honest it was"
She couldn't get through to appropriate people as "they are not answering must be in a meeting"

So she took my number and said they would call me back....I've heard nothing lol kinda wondering why did I bother 😂

That's weird indeed! I think we might figure that out of they hold the members event / party mentioned in an email a while ago. I think we should get the November records this week btw.

Going back to the Artwork on these singles. Some of you may or may not know but they included some "Dublin Characters" on their initial singles, Bang Bang & Johnny Fortycoats. Real infamous people from Dublin. There is a book about them too. This article is worth a read. Dancing Mary is strongly in my memory growing up
