What a great last two weeks. Blood Incantation, Oranssi Pazuzu and Chat Pile. All just fantastic and most certainly on my best of list.

Any recommendations for metal or metal-adjacent from this year? For me, it's like 3 deep right now although I haven't tried as much from previous years, admittedly. Already ran through Chat Pile and Blood Incantation and neither are making my year-end list (though each have moments).

I think this has become known, but these Levi/RTI Metallica pressings are fantastic. I'm not a huge metal guy, but like genre representation in my collection so we picked these up. I've listened to all 3 about 4 times, and they are just stunning.

Just seen Weedeater live. Lordy, that was good. Supporting an Australian band called King Parrot, who are worth a listen. Probably the herbiest gig I’ve been to in 20 years!
I spent the whole of the gig looking after 10-12 year olds that were crowd surfing. Part of me loved that we have a new generation, but the old man in me was shitting it about their safety!
