At Musuc Direct, the Studio is heavily discounted. I’d bet it’s discontinued.I'm pretty sure the Studio has been discontinued and is in a "While supplies last" status.

It’s heavily discounted everywhere from what I’ve seen. And double checked the MD catalogue—no sign of it.At Musuc Direct, the Studio is heavily discounted. I’d bet it’s discontinued.
A question about the frequency for changing the belt . My deck will be 2 years old next spring . I check the speed once in a while using a phone app and it has been running at the correct speed . Like a lot of people I give the platter a nudge to help it get up to speed . Some of you have had your decks long enough to consider a new belt . I think I read somewhere the recommendation was 2 to 3 years . My local dealer is no more as they said MOFI changed their dealer network and they no longer are a dealer . Closest dealer is now around 3 hours away which is a pain
Yes can order online . Did you feel it was necessary to change the belt that often , or was it more of a habit ?I used to change mine and clean/lube the bearing annually.
Can you pay over the phone or online and have the dealer mail the belt?
I checked my speed, lubricated the bearing, checked again, and decided to leave my belt as is. I’ll replace it when it starts measuring askew.A question about the frequency for changing the belt . What lubricant do you use for it? I was thinking of lubricating the bearing on my Thorens and my UD but didn’t know what to useI used to change mine and clean/lube the bearing annually.

If you don't want to grab MoFi's, White Lithium Grease will do the trick. What lubricant do you use for it? I was thinking of lubricating the bearing on my Thorens and my UD but didn’t know what to use

Then that belt is four years old next month.I have not changed the belt yet on my MoFI @Static Shock but for what it's worth, I got about 4 years out of my VPI belt before I thought it audibly needed it, and I'm a pretty serious stickler on (audible) speed.
Pitch is still bang on to my ears! Then that belt is four years old next month.
Hi Andreas! Biggest question is, what does the rest of your system look like?I would like to hear the thoughts of you folks, about something I have been thinking about. I own a StudioDeck, and I am happy with it.
Now, I am a financial consevative person, which can be very good at times. However that led me to getting the StudioDeck instead of the UltraDeck. And I have being considering of actually getting the UltraDeck. It is not really a big upgrade, rather a sidewards move and only slightly up.
I do find the UltraDeck a very handsome turntable.
Do you people out there think I would notice an improvement in my music listening experience, or would the difference be too small. Just interested in your reasoning.
I had the StudioDeck for a couple of weeks , but there was an issue of some damage , so replaced it with the UltraDeck . I like the feel and look of the Ultradeck and the cart that came with it was much better . Hard to say if I found an earth shattering difference . As noted , I think it depends on what the rest of your system is like and if the Ultradeck is a major step up over the other components , and if you will be upgrading the rest of the system over time . The context is important . The thing that I found made a major difference that I could hear was the replacement of power cables , connections and putting roller bearing under component's and Gaia isolation under the speakers . Everyone's experience will be different . Just don't get drawn down the rabbit hole too far .I would like to hear the thoughts of you folks, about something I have been thinking about. I'm a current StudioDeck owner who spent a day with an UltraDeck in one of my systems - the one with the Decware tube amp shown in my signature.Yeah, just updated my signature. I have also being considering of upgrading my components one after over the next few months/ years but that is something for another time.
