I’m not incredibly pumped to see Snyder’s JL presented in 4:3 ratio or that this is apparently the hot new trend. I know IMAX is close to that but I don’t have an IMAX TV, SHARON.
Holy crap. That was amazing. Whedon should be flogged for what he did to that film.it’s his best movie. Still occasionally frustrating but it has a hypnotic quality to it.
he should be flogged in generalHoly crap. That was amazing. Whedon should be flogged for what he did to that film.
I left as soon as people are litigating TLJ YET AGAIN. We have a whole thread for Star Wars and TV yet it leaks in here. Maybe we should make a super hero thread as well*walks in and sees that the last few pages have been all star war/marvel/dc*
*homer shrubs gif*
A single thread for every movie ever made, is what I sayI left as soon as people are litigating TLJ YET AGAIN. We have a whole thread for Star Wars and TV yet it leaks in here. Maybe we should make a super hero thread as well
I will just make two threads. "Good movies" and "dumb movies" and be the sole arbiter of what goes where.A single thread for every movie ever made, is what I say

What about good, dumb movies?I will just make two threads. "Good movies" and "dumb movies" and be the sole arbiter of what goes where.
Still in dumb movies. Sometimes it’s nice to talk about fun dumb movies (like Aquaman!). Sometimes it’s overwhelming how they dominate all discussion. We also already have the criterion thread for “pretentious movies”What about good, dumb movies?
LORD is HBO still paying your bills my man?Justice League deserves a Criterion edition.
I’m with you. I have never enjoyed anything he had directed. I would rather spend that 4 hours watching Speed and Big Trouble In Little China. As someone for whom none of Zack Snyder's previous movies have been my jam, I'll be sitting JL out.... BUT I'm legitimately happy that it's making so many people for whom it is their jam happy.
I understand this means I am a bad internet user, so I'll try to make up for it by injecting some idiotic vitriol into some other post over the next few days!
I actually enjoyed his Dawn of the Dead, despite the fact that his "Milwaukee" was so obviously not Milwaukee enough for this SE Wisconsinite. I'm usually not much for zombies (even if 28 Days Later is one of my fave movies—a huge exception!), and I weirdly much prefer Romero's own Day to his Dawn. Snyder's actually got a heart from me on Letterboxd. Pretty much in agreement on everything else of his though, ha. (Army of the Dead looks fun though!)As someone for whom none of Zack Snyder's previous movies have been my jam, I'll be sitting JL out.... I guess every movie would go in the dumb movies thread then.I will just make two threads. "Good movies" and "dumb movies" and be the sole arbiter of what goes where.
