Closest is stil 2.5 hrs away. Know it will be at least 1.5 hr away next week, so may have to make the drive if it doesn't show up here.

I'm lucky that most of the films I want to see before the Oscar's have opened near me recently. I'm going to see All of Us Strangers Monday, still waiting for The Taste of Things to make it to SF.

Also, if you have a spare 50 minutes, here’s a great doco about Gray, Glasgow, and Poor Things.

You get the feeling there are some mixed feeling about the film back home - glad to see his work getting tackled, but sad that a book that has so much about Glasgow in it has the city completely erased.

Youngest wanted to watch this after listening to the soundtrack. I enjoy this movie way too much. Unlike the wife and daughter, I enjoyed the ending. And to drop Guy Patterson in there as a cameo makes it extra special.

For every decent to good movie there is another that is something I would never wanna pay any money to watch. I think I would rather drop $100 on 5 movies that I love than $100 on 100 movies I don’t really care about. It’s a quality, not quantity thing for me l.

Finally watched Michael Clayton, and it whipped so hard that it might singlehandedly get me to un-retire from Star Wars shit to watch Gilroy's Andor.

Re-watched this on a plane ride last year. So good.

I had this thought before looking at the list, but there were more than 10 good movies whose sale price was around 10 bucks imo. Does it mean owning Mike Nichols' Wolf? I'm afraid so.

• To Live and Die in L.A.

In the past, @The Denmarkian Wonder has only asked me to cover shipping. I've been the beneficiary of quite a few great movies this way. At least a few are Region B. The 4Ks are region-free.

• The Exorcist
• To Live and Die in L.A.

I'd consider Peeping Tom and District 9 to be glaring omissions from these (otherwise accurate) highlights.
