Movies

Really set myself up for an emotional rollercoaster tonight by following up Uncut Gems with the ultra-unassumming A Taxi Driver.

Going to curl up and mope my way to sleep.

Triple post — sorry not sorry.

The found footage flick I missed a limited virtual screening of last year and ended up convincing the filmmakers to do an impromptu showing in Chicago ended up winning the jury award for Best Feature at this year's Salem Horror film festival! The shitty knee-jerk comments section of this great coverage and review has me feeling down, so I figured I'd share the good news where it might be appreciated.

If you're at all interested in horror/found footage/DIY-fucking-cinema, then follow the link at the bottom of the article and let the filmmakers know you want a screening in your area. The screenings-only ethos is super unpretentious and worth the appointment viewing if you like an oppressive Blair Witch-style feature.

Low balling this Bond theme, this one rules (the movie does too)
